Hampden Estate: Great House Distillery Edition 2020

It is January 2021 and life could not be further from where it was one year ago. Professionally, personally, politically, superficially. Everything has been turned upside down from what it once was. As I took some time today to think about all the ways that my life is, has been, changing over the past year; I did so while enjoying Hampden Estate’s 2020 Great House Distillery Edition. While I did love living in Tennessee, the work culture there is pretty toxic. More on that in another post. Although the Nashville experiment did not pan out, I am happy to say that I am back in Chicago for the...

TRES HOMBRES BARBADOS 2018

A few weeks ago, I was wrapping up a 3-month backpacking trip throughout Europe. The last leg of the trip brought me to Germany. I was initially there to participate in a work exchange program and then would be traveling down to southern Germany to visit some of Erika’s family outside of Munich. Somewhere in between, we decided it would be a crime to not visit Berlin and rearranged travel plans to spend five days in Berlin. Best. Decision. Ever....
